How long have you been trading at Paddington Markets?
Coming up for 6 years. Initially, when I was setting up the business, I was planning that it be purely online but soon realised that people need to see and feel the fabrics that I use . Highly textured, handwoven silk is not a fabric that most people have experienced-particularly in men’s sports jackets.
It’s always interesting to see how many people feel the jackets as they stroll by.
Paddington Markets has proved to be the perfect place for the menswear I design. Because there are so many really talented stall holders who are designing their own products Paddington Markets has the reputation as the market to find creative and unusual products. As a result, it then attracts visitors who are looking for quality and difference.

What inspires you?
Before I started designing menswear I used to travel into Asia many times each year with my previous work. In my spare time I loved searching out the fantastic fabrics that are available there and to design clothes just for myself. I guess I was inspired by the fabrics but also the idea of having my own business. Now I can only blame myself!

Famous people who have bought your product.
Everyone who buys a PatrickMoor silk sports coat becomes famous by wearing something that is unique and beautiful. At least they feel famous when they receive all the compliments.
